Domestic Violence

Domestic/Intimate Partner Violence Prevention

Find an Advocate

Domestic violence prevention advocates of the Spanish American Center provide a structured community-based approach to domestic violence services, by assisting domestic violence victims and their families. The services include creating a safety plan, help with restraining orders, filling out legal and court documents, and making appropriate referrals.

Call 978-534-3145 to connect to an advocate during regular agency work hours 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday (please note the agency does NOT maintain a Domestic Violence Hotline).

Due to the confidential nature of domestic violence intervention, and to protect the safety of both our clients and staff, please call our main number to be connected with SAC’s domestic violence prevention program.

Emitting a Resilient Spirit (E.A.R.S)

E.A.R.S. is a culturally responsive sexual and domestic violence education and prevention program designed to serve diverse communities across the North Central region. The program consists of an eight-week workshop series and facilitated forums addressing critical topics, including equality and self-worth, the cycle of abuse, power and control dynamics, abuser profiles, false accusations, healthy boundaries, and family values.

The program’s objectives are to increase community awareness, shift attitudes, and support the prevention of future incidents of sexual and domestic violence. All sessions are offered in both Spanish and English to ensure accessibility and meaningful participation. In addition, educational brochures and flyers are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and French.
