June 30th Deadline:
Amelia Peabody Foundation Challenge Grant Request

This year has been an exceptional and busy year at the Spanish American Center. Recently, the Center submitted a grant request to the Amelia Peabody Foundation for $40,000.00 and received a grant of $30,000.00. The Foundation “challenged” the Center to raise the remaining $10,000.00. We are asking if you can help us meet this generous challenge by June 30, 2023.

For 56 years, the Spanish American Center (SAC), with help from our community, has been serving and supporting the underprivileged in our community through helping children, families, elders, and displaced and domestic violence victims. We work diligently to support our community through:

  • Our food pantry
  • Comprehensive Services for Battered Women and their Children
  • ESL classes
  • Elderly Advocacy and referral services
  • Children’s after school and summer programs
  • Summer Eats, free meals to children ages 18 and under in parks and housing developments
  • Homeless emergency
  • Prepare meals for homeless shelters

Being the only agency in Leominster, Fitchburg, Gardner and surrounding north central Massachusetts specifically oriented towards the Spanish speaking community, the urgent need for food, shelter, clothing and services continues to grow each year. With your help, we can fill the demands in our communities.

By donating to the Spanish American Center before June 30, 2023, you will be helping us meet the challenge with a generous tax-deductible gift.

Below are the ways you can make a donation:

  • Make a donation online at Donate (paypal.com)
  • Send a check to us: Spanish American Center, 112 Spruce St. Leominster, MA 01453 Attn: Neddy Latimer, Executive Director
