Current job openings at The Spanish-American Center, Inc.

The After School Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, development,implementation, evaluation, family and school engagement and program grant funded reports ofthe After School Program for youth grades 7 & 8. The Program meets Monday -Friday, 2:30pmto 5: 00pm.The coordinator will support the priority outcome areas of Academic Achievement, HealthyHabits, STEM/STEAM, Good Character and Civic Engagement. The coordinator also providesleadership and supervision to Program Instructors, Program Vendors, and Volunteers; manages
budgets and controls expenses as assigned. Helps to create an environment that facilitates
academic achievement by promoting and stimulating program participation. Provide guidanceand positive role modeling to members. Effectively implement and administer programs,services and activities for members and volunteers. Facilitate and evaluate programs, services,and activities always cognizant of the safety of members, quality of programs and appearance ofthe Spanish American Center.    9/15/22cab

Our kids are our future—and they need our help! Together we can help kids re-engage, reconnect and discover their passion for learning.
We are looking for energetic, responsible people who enjoy working with kids and are passionate about making an impact in our community. We have part-time, flexible jobs that are perfect for recent college grads, part-time college students, students taking a gap year, or people who are interested in making a difference in kids’ lives. All our programs follow CDC, State, and Local COVID safety protocols.
Educational and recreational activities, after-school, Monday-Friday 2:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. with youth grades 7th & 8th

The program also offers health, nutrition, community service, financial literacy, science, technology, engineering, arts, math, career readiness and of course– recreation and sports!

Afterschool experts have long recognized that learning doesn’t stop at 3 PM and that the hours after school provide an opportunity to keep children and youth safe, to inspire them to learn, and help them develop the skills they need to succeed academically, socially and professionally.
